I love the fall. And I am getting more contract work than ever since I
updated my web site. Web site conversion works! I am proof! On to the
question:

Question of the month
Question:
A potential client emailed me a few weeks ago and asked: Why does this site rank
higher than mine in organic search?
Answer: First, I checked out his site. I had done some keyword research
for this client before so I knew which keywords people were using for wedding
photography. Unfortunately, he did not use any of the keywords I gave him so he
was not ranking very well.
His competition in organic search was using those keywords – and very well I
might add. The reason this site was outranking his was because she knows how to
use her keyword phrases. She has Denver CO and Colorado all through her main
page text. He did not have much main page text so he was losing that race with
her. I advised him to add more site text with keywords. He has done so but I
will soon be helping him redesign his site so I will make sure it is done right.
