Challenge

Healing Environments with Feng Shui’s business model relies heavily on its web site to drive new business and is the company’s primary lead-generation tool. In 2006, the company decided it needed to redesign its web site. For their web site redesign, they decided to go with W-edge design, a well-established conversion optimization company.

Using their web site conversion process, W-edge design reviewed and analyzed:

• Healing Environments with Feng Shui's business goals and key performance indicators
• Overall web site performance
• Web analytics data
• The current site design, copy, layout and graphics

Based on analysis of web traffic, W-edge design determined the critical web pages of the redesign were the Home, Services, and the Contact pages. In order to consider the web redesign a success, these pages in the new web site would have to perform better than in the current one.

The challenge the company faced was to launch the new web site with a fully tested Home, Services and Contact pages that were certain to deliver higher conversion rates.

Results

Within six months of the redesign, Healing Environments with Feng Shui began enjoying increased web site traffic and a consistent 50% increase in sales leads (this site does use any site monitoring or testing). At the time of this writing (January 2010), the site's conversion rate is still consistent with the number of leads it gets per month.
